The root of Padres fandom here at Padres Connect started with the dazzling play of early 2000s friars like Khalil Greene, Brian Giles, Jake Peavy and others. Since those times, the Padres have had some ups, some downs(mostly downs) but one constant has remained; our love for the hometown team and our willingness to believe and cheer them on. In an era dominated by following star players from team to team, there is a beautiful simplicity in rooting for your hometown neighbors. Padres Connect hopes to add insight, some laughs, and some new knowledge to the lives of Padres fans. And hopefully, one day, we can share in rejoicing an eventual World Series championship with this city we know and love.
